Author's connection for your own AI

Author is a writing app for Mac and iPhone. This is the part that lets an AI you choose, like Claude, read your book and help.

Your books live on your devices and in your iCloud. When you turn on Let my AI read this book for a book in Author, a read-only copy of that book is kept here so your AI can read it. Turning the book off deletes the copy.

Your AI can read the scenes, the outline, and the story bible. It can suggest:

• ideas, scene synopses, and story bible entries and facts
• comments on passages, and places where something may not add up

Suggestions wait in Author until you approve or dismiss them. Your AI never changes your words.
